@ 1:00 PM

St. Timothy Women of the ELCA News

January-February 2018

Our next big project is the collection of items for the Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kits.  Please be bringing these items to the narthex during the month of January.

Lightweight bath towel (52”x 27” maximum), dark color preferred; bath-size bars (4-5 oz.) of soap in original wrapping; adult-size toothbrush in original wrapping (however we can separate multi-packs); sturdy combs; and metal nail clippers.  These kits will be put together on Feb. 4th following the second service.  The kits must be counted, boxed up, and taken to Tampa for pick-up by the LWR truck that week.   For any  further questions, please contact  Mary Macaulay (330-808-2132), or Miriam Walka (847-3867).  More details will be in the bulletins.

The Gulfcoast Conference of the Women of the ELCA will have their Spring Gathering on March 10th at Nativity Lutheran Church, Weeki Wachee.  Sister Michelle Collins will give the Bible Study.  It is a delight to have her lead us.  Watch the bulletin for more details.

The food collection for the Farmworkers Self-Help, Inc. in Dade City will begin in February and be delivered around Eastertime.  As usual, men’s shirts and pants, as well as women’s casual, easy-to-care for shirts, etc. are also appreciated.

We hope that you will join us for these projects and fellowship opportunities.  Also, remember our monthly Bible studies at the Mary-Martha/Naomi circle on the second Thursday of each month.  We will meet on January  11th and February 8th at 10 a.m. to learn from Mark Allen Powell in a four-session Bible study that will continue in March and April.
